Annual

Height 3-4 Feet

This heat-resistant, drought tolerant variety produces a bushy hedge that blooms with bright orange flowers by mid-summer. Makes an ideal hedge or border that is excellent for cutting.

SOWING…Plant the seed outdoors in late spring when the ground has warmed. Plant in rows 24 inches apart, spacing seed 3-6 inches in the row. Cover seeds with ½ inch of fine soil, well pressed down.

THINNING…When plants are 2 to 3 inches high, thin them to 24 inches apart, in rows or beds.

GERMINATION…Germinates in 7 to 10 days depending on soil and weather conditions. Cold, wet weather may delay sprouting.

REMARKS…As the name implies, Mexican Sunflowers require plenty of sunshine. Plants will withstand drought conditions which may stunt growth. Keep blossoms picked for best results.
